Carrie Ann Inaba tells Julianne Hough ‘welcome back’ to ‘DWTS’ with sweet photo

The “DWTS” judge took to Instagram to share her excitement.

Carrie Ann Inaba is “elated” to have Julianne Hough back in the ballroom.

In a series of throwback photos Inaba shared on Instagram of the two of them when Hough was previously on “Dancing With the Stars,” the reality show judge said Hough as a co-host is a “natural fit.”

“She will have done it all,” Inaba wrote in the caption. “She’s danced, she’s judged, she’s won, and now she’s co-hosting with @therealalfonsoribeiro!”

“It’s just a testimony to the family spirit at @dancingwiththestars,” Inaba added. “She may already have a real brother on the panel, but she feels just like a sister to me as well. Welcome back Julianne! Looking forward to a fantastic season with you! Love you my little sister! ❤️”

Ann Arbor beekeeping group hosting free online community event

ANN ARBOR – Have you always wanted to become a beekeeper but don’t now what it takes to get started?

The nonprofit organization Ann Arbor Backyard Beekeepers is hosting a free virtual presentation for individuals who are interested in beekeeping.

The presentation, “So, You Want to be a Beekeeper?” will be held on Jan. 29 from 1-3 p.m. and will be given by lead instructor for the A2B2 bee school, Dave Pearce.

During the presentation, Pearce will provide interested individuals with all the knowledge they need to get up and running in their backyards, including how much money, time and space the process will take.

Ann Arbor fire training center to be dedicated to firefighter who died of cancer

ANN ARBOR, MI – A training center used by firefighters across Washtenaw County is being named after a veteran Ann Arbor firefighter who was key in making it possible.

The Ann Arbor Fire Department is hosting a dedication ceremony Friday, May 7, at the W.R. Wheeler Service Center naming the countywide fire training center the “Craig Sidelinger Fire Training Center” in honor of the training captain who died of cancer earlier this year.

“Craig was instrumental in getting this training center going and it has been valued and used by departments throughout the county,” Ann Arbor Fire Chief Mike Kennedy said.
