Drew Barrymore is going the distance to support the ongoing writers strike.

The “50 First Dates” actress announced she will be stepping down from hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards in “solidarity” with the Writers Guild of America strike, which officially began May 2.

“I have listened to the writers, and in order to truly respect them, I will pivot from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards live in solidarity with the strike,” Barrymore said in a statement shared with Variety. “Everything we celebrate and honor about movies and television is born out of their creation. And until a solution is reached, I am choosing to wait but I’ll be watching from home and hope you will join me.”

Macie Banks Takes Over Kellie Pickler’s Spot On SiriusXM

Macie Banks will now host the midday show, airing weekdays from noon to 4pm ET. Banks announced the news on Instagram.

“Hey guys. So you may have just heard us on The Highway, but I’m so excited because I finally get to share something that I’ve been wanting to share for a long time. Starting on Monday, I’m going to be doing middays on The Highway and I’m so excited to be doing this,” she said.

Yahoo appears to have left the website builder and web hosting game for good following the sale of its Small Business Essentials portfolio to Infinite Computer Solutions. 

Referred to as Verizon Small Business Essentials after Yahoo’s parent company, the platform was created to help small businesses create an online presence by providing website builder and web hosting tools from a single dashboard.
