Apple settled a class-action lawsuit this week that accused Apple of misrepresenting the way subscriptions to third-party apps worked with Family Sharing.

As part of the settlement, Apple has agreed to pay out $25 million to people who participated in a Family Sharing group with at least one other member who also had a subscription to the app through the App Store between June 21, 2015, and January 30, 2019.

The issue lies in how Family Sharing subscriptions were shared. Family Sharing is advertised to allow participants to share subscriptions; however, Apple also allows developers to opt out of allowing families to share subscriptions to its apps, which resulted in the lawsuit.

It was just last summer that Bialik was named the long-running game show’s permanent co-host, opposite Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings.
