Forbes Advisor has developed a rubric to assess and score each company on the list. We evaluated a total of 11 HostGator alternatives to objectively determine our top seven. The rubric assesses five main areas of criteria that were scored and weighted. Each area contributed a specific percentage toward the final score of 100%. By dividing the score into categories, we aim to provide a comprehensive evaluation taking into consideration various factors that are important to users when choosing the best provider.
