Premios Juventud 2024 has revealed its first round of performers set to take the stage on July 25. Confirmed artists include Camila, Darell, DJ Adoni, Emilia, Los Ángeles Azules, Luar La L, Lunay, Prince Royce, Wisin and Yovngchimi.

The awards show will take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, under the theme Atrévete a Más. The event will air live on Univision and ViX, starting at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT.

Reggaetón pioneer Wisin is also set to host the event, in addition to surprising audiences with a world premiere of a new song during his performance. Lele Pons and Clarissa Molina will also be sharing hosting duties.

Abbotsford’s Ledgeview Golf Club hosting B.C. Amateur Championship

Event runs from July 9 to 12 with 156 golfers from all across B.C. competing

The 122nd edition of the British Columbia Amateur Golf Championship opens today (July 9) at Abbotsford’s Ledgeview Golf Course.

A practice round occurred yesterday (July 8) and the four-day competition will see competitors play 72-holes, with the field being cut to the top-70 after day two. Rounds go today, tomorrow (July 10), Thursday (July 11) and Friday (July 12).

The event sees 156 golfers from all across B.C. teeing off.

Posts incorrectly claim ULEZ exemption for electric cars ending next year – Full Fact

Posts are circulating on social media incorrectly claiming that an exemption to London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) for electric vehicles is to end next year.

A screenshot of a BBC article with the headline “End to discounts for zero-emission vehicles” in the London section of the BBC News site has been shared with a misleading caption that links this to ULEZ.

Posts with similar captions, which have been shared both on X (formerly Twitter) and on Facebook, say: “NET ZERO -Oh look. All those conned into believing an electric car would prevent them being charged to drive in London are about to be shafted. ULEZ exemption to end next year!”

Cosm’s ‘shared reality’ venue unveils first ticketed events

Cosm is to stage the first ticketed events at its 12K+ ‘shared reality’ venue, in Los Angeles.

The immersive sports tech specialist will team up with FOX Sports to show the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 third-placed match on 13 July and final on 14 July at its 60,000 sq metre experiential venue in Hollywood Park.

The US women’s soccer team’s forthcoming matches with Mexico and Costa Rica will also be broadcast live, in partnership with TNT Sports, on the venue’s 27m-diameter LED dome.

The venue’s soft opening took place at the end of last month for mixed martial arts event UFC 303.

Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls recalled being left in tears as he spoke to former Pop Idol star Gareth Gates about his speech impediment.

Gates, now a qualified speech coach with the McGuire Programme, a stuttering treatment course, appeared on the ITV morning show on Tuesday to discuss his stammer.

During their conversation, the 39-year-old was played a clip from a year ago when presenter Balls, 57, was left emotional as he discussed his own challenges with a speech impediment.

The presenter shared in the clip from November 2023: “You inspired me. I thought, ‘If Gareth Gates can do this, I can too. And if he can be public, I can be public too. It was really hard, but I did it because you showed me how to do it.”
