A new report by Zoom has revealed that in person meetings are both the most unpopular and the least productive of all collaborative methods, with many preferring instant messages instead. Over a third of leaders lose more than an hour per day resolving problems caused by poor teamwork, which could be costing businesses up to £12,000 per manager per year. Perhaps the least surprising news from the report is the claim that teams who use more than 10 apps are twice as likely to spend an hour or more resolving collaboration issues than those who use fewer than five apps. Posts being shared on social media misinterpret comments made by London Mayor Sadiq Khan to falsely claim he pledged to build 46,000 houses “just for Muslims”. A video of Mr Khan speaking has been shared with the caption: “Sadiq Khan says he will build 46,000 new homes in London just for Muslims who want to live closer to a mosque.” While this is a genuine interview with Mr Khan, he did not make the comments attributed to him in the posts.  The video shows Mr Khan during an interview shared by the Islam Channel before May’s mayoral elections in which he won 43.8% of the vote and was reelected for his third consecutive term. Jimmy Kimmel will return to host the 96th Academy Awards, marking his fourth turn leading the ceremony, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Wednesday. Kimmel also hosted the ceremony earlier this year, and he hosted in 2017 and 2018. He will join Whoopi Goldberg and Jack Lemmon as four-time Oscar hosts, and he’ll be one behind Johnny Carson, who hosted five of the events. Billy Crystal hosted the ceremony nine times, but Bob Hope is the all-time leader with 19 shows as host, although the shared hosting duties in five of those outings.
