Steve Harvey cautions Travis Kelce about hosting

Steve Harvey cautions Travis Kelce about hosting Steve Harvey has just shared some advice to potential game show host Travis Kelce. Steve Harvey, the Family Feud host told Us Weekly on Friday, March 22, “Well, all I can tell Travis Kelce is be careful, because you might not be smarter than a fifth grader.” While Harvey was also promoting his project The Steve Harvey Network, he continued, “The reason I’ve survived so long on Family Feud is I know I’m not smarter than the contestants. I just wait on you to make your own blunder, and then I capitalize on that.” Harvey added, “If you’re going to work with kids, though, you got to humble yourself, man, and you got to let ’em win the joke. You got to let them win the joke because if you outshine the kids, you won’t be… Source link

Debt isn’t ‘cleared’ if an offer of payment in cash is refused

Debt isn’t ‘cleared’ if an offer of payment in cash is refused

A widely shared Facebook post claims that a debt will be written off if legal tender—cash—is offered but refused. However, this isn’t the case. The post, which has been shared over 500 times, says: “Did you know? If you offer legal tender to clear a debt and it is refused, the debt is cleared from that moment.  “So if you go into a petrol station and fill up with £100 and offer to pay with legal tender and they refuse it, they are clearing the debt and you now owe nothing.” However, there is no obligation on businesses to accept cash payments. Legal tender has a narrow definition, meaning that you cannot be sued for non-payment if you pay ‘into court’ in legal tender. This does not apply to normal transactions.  Honesty in public debate matters You… Source link

AWS patches worrying security flaw that could have led to account hijacking

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) carried a flaw which allowed threat actors to hijack people’s sessions and execute malicious code on underlying instances, remotely, experts have warned. Cybersecurity researchers Tenable discovered the vulnerability and dubbed it FlowFixation, explaining the vulnerability stems from both session fixation on the AWS MWAA web management platform, and a misconfiguration in the AWS domain. These two open the doors for a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack.  “Upon taking over the victim’s account, the attacker could have performed tasks such as reading connection strings, adding configurations and triggering directed acyclic graphs (DAGS),” Tenable’s senior security researcher, Liv Matan, explained. “Under certain… Source link

Image of white vapour trails in the sky does not show ‘chemtrails’

An image of vapour trails left in the sky by aeroplanes has been shared on Facebook alongside a caption claiming these are “chemtrails” that are blocking the sun.  This isn’t true. These white lines are contrails, trails of vapour left behind by planes.  The image shows the roofs of what appear to be terraced houses or businesses, alongside a blue sky. A number of white trails are visible in the sky, some crossing each other, with some appearing to be in front of the sun.  It was posted with the caption: “Bill gates + Chemtrails = block the sun”.  We’ve written many times about “chemtrails”, a false but enduring conspiracy theory that typically claims these white lines are evidence of a plot to control the weather or spread poison by spraying… Source link
