Mystery surrounds Zoe Ball’s lengthy absence from her BBC Radio 2 show. The star usually takes to the airwaves at 6.30am to entertain the nation – but unexpectedly disappeared from her post four weeks ago. Zoe last presented the breakfast show on August 8 – having returned from an extended break following her beloved mum’s deaths just four days before. Gaby Roslin and Scott Mills have held the fort in recent weeks, with the latter saying “sending you all my love Zo” as he stepped in on August 12. Fans were concerned she wouldn’t return to hosting duties, but the BBC has now confirmed her future on the show.
