A sequel to the 2003 comedy Freaky Friday, which starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as a mother and daughter who swap bodies, is officially in the works, with Curtis and Lohan both in talks to return. Disney confirmed the news to the New York Times for a piece tied to the 20th anniversary of the film, and Elyse Hollander is writing the script. Sand was not used to fill potholes along the coronation procession route

Thousands of people have shared claims on social media that sand was used to fill potholes on the procession route for King Charles’ coronation. But this is not true. Some of the claims we’ve seen circulating include what appears to be a screenshot of a since-deleted tweet, which has been shared by thousands of users on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It shows an aerial image of the procession in central London on 6 May with multiple patches of sand on the road surface.  The text says: “Something very poetic about a king in a golden coach being driven over a load of potholes filled with wet sand because no one in his country has the money to fix the roads properly.”  Others have made similar claims using slightly different images or no images at all.  But… Source link

Image via CBS Jeopardy! has become the latest high-profile production to be impacted by the ongoing strike undertaken by the Writers’ Guild of America, as the show has temporarily lost one of its co-hosts as a result of the industrial action. Deadline reports that co-host Mayim Bialik has taken the decision to step back from hosting the final week of filming for the show’s 39th season, choosing to stand in solidarity alongside the writers of the show who are refusing to work. Jeopardy! is the most-watched show in syndication with around 9 million viewers weekly and is the second most-watched same-day entertainment show on TV after only 60 Minutes. Monzo is not closing all customers’ accounts

A Facebook post which wrongly claimed that the online bank Monzo was closing all its customers’ accounts was shared over 1,500 times before being deleted. The post said: “Everyone thst is using monzo bank get your money out your account cos there closing every ones account down and keeping everyone’s money !!! It’s just happend to 2 of my mates and now they have no money so go get it out quickly!!!!! [sic]” It’s not true that Monzo is closing all its bank accounts down. A spokesperson for Monzo told Full Fact: “This is categorically untrue. We’re a regulated UK bank and we’re operating as usual.”The post was deleted late in the afternoon of Thursday 11 May, after receiving hundreds of shares earlier that day.
