A Facebook post falsely claims that Amazon is giving away parcels of unclaimed electronic appliances “for just £3”. But an Amazon spokesperson confirmed this is not a genuine offer from the retailer.  The post appeared on a page that was created on the same day the post was shared and has only 10 followers.  It says: “Amazon is having an urgent sale on various appliances for just £3! The reason is that items that have been in stock for more than 6 months should be disposed of but the company’s management has decided to give the sorted electronics to the people of the UK. Climate and technology will be high on the agenda for a meeting in Washington between Joe Biden and Anthony Albanese. The prime minister will travel to the US for an official visit between October 23 and October 26, Mr Albanese’s first official trip to Washington since taking office.
