A Facebook post falsely claims that Amazon is giving away parcels of unclaimed electronic appliances “for just £3”. But an Amazon spokesperson confirmed this is not a genuine offer from the retailer.  The post appeared on a page that was created on the same day the post was shared and has only 10 followers.  It says: “Amazon is having an urgent sale on various appliances for just £3! The reason is that items that have been in stock for more than 6 months should be disposed of but the company’s management has decided to give the sorted electronics to the people of the UK.
