Posts on Facebook are appealing for people to identify a woman they claim has dementia and is lost. But these appeals are a hoax, and follow the same pattern as other hoaxes we have checked before. The posts claim that the woman and her dog have arrived at a shelter but that she “doesn’t know where she is”. The posts have been shared in community Facebook groups across the world, and begin with: “URGENT ALERT! FLOOD YOUR FEEDS! does anyone recognise this lady?”  They end with: “Please help us find her home”. The posts all use identical wording, with different locations, and have the same photo of an elderly woman. In a multi-year intrusion, Web hosting platform GoDaddy has revealed that cyber-criminals gained access to its systems, installed malware on its network and stolen parts of its source code. In order to further investigate the issue, the company said that it is working with multiple law enforcement agencies around the world, in addition to forensics experts. GoDaddy Targeted by Cyber Criminals The company said in a statement that “We have evidence, and law enforcement has confirmed, that this incident was carried out by a sophisticated and organised group targeting hosting services like GoDaddy”. Viral videos on Twitter claim to show a heavily-armed robotic bodyguard protecting the King of Bahrain. The video has also been shared on Facebook.  The footage shows a man in a traditional Arabic thobe (a long robe) and keffiyeh (head scarf) walking through an exhibition centre, closely followed by a large robot wearing a military camouflage vest.  A caption on the post says “King of Bahrain arrives in Dubai with his Robot bodyguard” and adds that the robot can speak six languages and is armed with a Taser, laser-guided guns and enough ammunition to fight 1050 enemies.
