The Patriots signed linebackers Kobe Jones and Christian McCarroll on Tuesday, the team announced. Jones and McCarroll were among a group of free-agent defenders brought in for workouts Tuesday. The Patriots also hosted linebacker Max Roberts. Jones, 26, most recently played for the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He’s played in two regular-season NFL games with the Packers and Panthers since going undrafted out of Mississippi State in 2021.
