The Wenatchee Veterans Hall is open for public tours during a three day informal open house May 19th through 21st. Built by Veterans For Veterans is the motto and Wenatchee Valley Veterans Hall Board President Heather Hill and member George Turner say the 501(c)(3) non-profit wants to spread awareness of the facility and the services available to the veteran community and public at large. The Veterans Hall is located at 1206 N. Wenatchee Ave on the south side of the green-roofed building shared with the Eagles lodge and next to the Buzz Inn Wenatchee restaurant.  The building is visible blocks away, just look for the U.S. flag flying proudly in front. An image shared on Instagram shows a picture of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Adolf Hitler. In the image, cross insignias on both of their chests are circled, appearing to imply that they are wearing the same symbol. But they aren’t. The cross sign on President Zelenskyy’s shirt is the emblem of Ukraine’s armed forces and has been since 2009. There are many photos of him wearing the green t-shirt with the emblem.  The badge Hitler appears to be wearing in the photo in the post is the iron cross—a military decoration he was often photographed wearing. Following the arrest of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on 9 May a number of Facebook and Twitter posts claimed a video showed people protesting his arrest outside the London home of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. One of the Facebook posts, shared on 11 May, was captioned: “A large number of Pakistanis are protesting Imran Khan’s arrest in front of Nawaz Sharif’s house in London”. While the video does show people demonstrating outside a building reported to be owned by Mr Sharif, it was not filmed following Mr Khan’s recent arrest.
