This Montreal Restaurant Is Hosting A Vegan Sugar Shack Brunch For $25/Person

Sugar shacks are notoriously heavy on the maple and the meat, but one Montreal restaurant is making the classic Quebec meal more accessible to those who prefer a plant-based diet. On March 18 and 19, Mile End vegan diner Mimi & Jones is hosting a two-day cabane à sucre style brunch with mimosa specials. For $25 per person, guests can indulge in all the sweet and savoury dishes, including scrambled tofu, seitan bacon, pancakes with maple syrup, homemade beans, cretons, toast, breakfast potatoes and maple taffy. A Facebook post that makes misleading claims about immigration has been shared more than 570,000 times. Originally posted on social media in 2012, it has been shared widely in recent weeks. The Tisdale campus open house is on April 4, Nipawin on April 5 and Melfort on April 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. NORTHEAST – Cumberland College will be hosting three open houses in Nipawin, Melfort and Tisdale, providing an opportunity for future students to see what the college has to offer.
