Proton Pass Now Lets You Share Passwords With Anyone Via Secure Links

Proton has added a new password-sharing feature for its Proton Pass password manager for paying users, allowing passwords to be shared with anyone via what the company calls “Secure Links.”

Secure Links are links that can be used for sharing individual passwords with another person. The recipient doesn’t need a Proton account, and the sender can choose when they want the link to expire. Secure Links can expire anytime between an hour and a month depending on the sharer’s preference, and can also be revoked anytime via a “Remove” button on the sharer’s Pass dashboard.

The sender can see how many times their link has been viewed and can set a specific limit for the number of permitted views. The links will automatically change if a password is changed so that users don’t have to re-share…

Facebook post repeats unreliable Labour claim about family finances – Full Fact

A Facebook post claims “The typical household is now £5,883 worse off since 2019”, but there are a number of problems with this figure.

The post, first shared in May, says: “The conservatives are making Britain poorer while they all get richer, they are all on the gravy train!

“The typical household is now £5,883 worse off since 2019 due to energy prices, mortgages, groceries, motoring, personal tax and council, tax. [sic]”

Serena and Venus Williams, Quinta Brunson Call Out Pat McAfee

Serena Williams joined her sister, Venus, and Quinta Brunson in calling out Pat McAfee for his comments about WNBA star Caitlin Clark earlier this year at the 2024 ESPY Awards. The trio also took shots at Harrison Butker.

Onstage at the ESPYs show, host Serena shared the stage with Venus and Quinta for a segment celebrating this year’s rise in popularity of female sports, thanks in part to Clark, who was the No. 1 pick in the WNBA Draft in April after rising to stardom while playing for the University of Iowa.

The trio of women reviewed a list of terms that are acceptable when referring to female athletes, among them being “athlete,” “champion” and “dumbass” (because, as Brunson noted, all athletes are sometimes dumbasses).

“Just…

Social media image showing ‘Muslims paying tribute to Keir Starmer’ is not real – Full Fact

An image has been shared on social media with the caption: “Muslims pay tribute to Keir Starmer outside Number 10,” but this is not a genuine photo.

The image supposedly shows rows of people on prayer mats outside Number 10 Downing Street with the suggestion this is related to Sir Keir Starmer being elected as the UK Prime Minister following the election on 4 July.

The image was shared both before and after the general election took place.

However, there are multiple visual clues that suggest the image is inauthentic, and most likely created using artificial intelligence (AI).

To start, two figures in the front row are warped so that feet appear instead of heads, while the hands of other figures—although they’re in the right place—are misshapen and…
