Pageant veteran Ahtisa Manalo was the big winner during the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines preliminary gala night held at the Manila Hotel on May 19, taking home eight special awards from the contest’s sponsors this year.

The representative from Quezon Province was proclaimed as Miss Smilee, Miss Fairy Skin, Miss Great Lengths iColor Plus, Miss Hello Glow, Miss Danielito’s Home Kitchen, Miss Queen of Hearts Sleepwear, Miss Aqua Boracay, and was one of the three Miss Zonrox Color Safe.

Eddie Izzard has stunned fans by revealing a hidden talent – the ability to fly a plane.

The 62-year-old comedian and actor – who also goes by the name Suzy Izzard and came out as transgender in 2019 – has explained that they decided to learn how to get to grips in the cockpit as a way of confronting fear.
