I have FTP accounts created with a user and pass but when using SFTP it will not work. It only works on FTP.

For what it’s worth sFTP is FTP over SSH. FTPS is standard FTP with SSL/TLS.

Both are encrypted / secure.

If you want to create an FTP account for someone else – you would want to tell them to use FTPS which functions over the standard FTP port of 21.
