Jenkintown 150 to host Gazebo Dedication Ceremony on Saturday

Jenkintown 150 is hosting a Gazebo Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00am to 1:30pm in Town Square.

The ceremony will feature the work of Joseph Depman, a senior at Jenkintown High School who recently completed his Eagle Scout project, remarks by town officials, a ribbon cutting, live music by Jenkintown’s Celia DeFazio, and a performance by Jenkintown Dance Arts.

“I am lucky to have grown up in a place like Jenkintown, and I am glad to be able to give back to the community,” Depman said.

Ardabil to host 2nd festival dedicated to Shahsevan nomads

TEHRAN – The second edition of a tribal festival dedicated to Shahsevan nomads will be held in Ardabil province on April 25 and 26.

The Shahsevan, aka Shahsavan, are a number of Azarbaijani-speaking Turkic groups that live in northwestern Iran, mainly inhabiting the districts of Mughan, Ardabil, Kharaqan, and Khamsa.

The festival is aimed at bringing together thousands of locals and domestic travelers to Jafarabad, which is about 26 km northwest of Bileh Savar county in the Mughan plain.

“Displaying the values of tribal life is one of the goals of organizing this festival….,” the provincial tourism chief said on Saturday.
