Viral photos do not show Yevgeny Prigozhin on a train this year

Viral photos of a man on a train are being shared with the suggestion they show the former director of Russia’s Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, who was widely reported to have died last year. 

The photos show the profile of a man looking out of the window on a train. They have been shared on Facebook with captions including: “HE HAS RISEN Yvgeny Prigozhin spotted on a train peeps” and “Prigozhin on the train?.Mastermind of Wagner Group is not dead? [sic]”.

The photos from the train appear to have first been shared by an X account with the handle @runews on 13 March, months after the date he is believed to have died. The post has more than 3,700 shares and the caption: “What?”

Ariana DeBose Hosts 2024 Tony Awards on June 16

Ariana DeBose will return as the host of the 77th Annual Tony Awards in June. 

This marks the third time The West Side Story star has hosted the awards show, which will take place on June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater at the Lincoln Center. DeBose will also choreograph the opening number for the show and serve as a producer.

“I couldn’t pass up the chance to host the Tonys one more time at Lincoln Center. I’m excited to collaborate with the team to create an incredible celebration of this season’s achievements on Broadway for our community and for everyone at home,” DeBose said.

Media mavens are recalling Sean “Diddy” Combs’ questionable past.

On Tuesday, two popular media personalities, who covered Diddy for decades, recalled past incidents involving the disgraced music mogul.

Former “Extra” host Tanika Ray — who also was a backup dancer for Diddy in the ’90s — posted on social media about an alleged “horrific” experience that made her steer clear of the Bad Boy Records founder for years.

Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial to host National Vietnam War Veterans Day event

PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) – Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial (MNVM) in Perryville is set to host a day dedicated to Vietnam veterans.

Organizers are inviting the public to welcome home Vietnam veterans during the National Vietnam War Veterans Day event at the memorial.

The event will take place on Friday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Refreshments will be served in the event room.

Visitors can view the history of the Vietnam War through exhibits at the museum and remember the 58,281 men and women who never came home by reading their names on the memorial’s Vietnam Wall.

MNVM volunteers, who are Vietnam veterans will be available on the campus to answer questions and to share their time in the service.

Tokens of remembrance to lay at the Vietnam Wall are welcome.

Image shows Beirut, not explosion at Ukraine security service headquarters

A picture is being shared widely online with false claims it shows plumes of smoke emanating from the headquarters of Ukraine’s security service in Kyiv after a missile attack by Russia.

A Facebook post sharing an image claiming to be of the headquarters says: “Breaking news: What hit the security headquarters of the SBU in Kiev?! All the important officers were inside‼”

However, this is not what the photograph circulating on Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter), depicts.

The image is actually a screenshot from a video showing a section of the evacuated port silos in Beirut, Lebanon, collapsing in August 2022 after a fire broke out on the site in July.
