The decision appears to have been made on a permanent replacement for the late Canadian host Alex Trebek on Jeopardy.

Bialik says Sony told her she will no longer host the syndicated version of “Jeopardy!”  Adding, she is honoured to have been nominated for an Emmy for her work on the show while she shared hosting duties with Ken Jennings.

Sony says former champ Jennings will be the sole host next season to maintain continuity for viewers.

Mayim Bialik skipped the final week of Season 39 to stand in solidarity with the striking writers, and it was announced last week that she will not be returning to Jeopardy!
