Trevor Noah Announced As Host For 2024 Grammys

Trevor Noah is preparing to make his return to the Grammy Award stage as he has just been announced as the host of the broadcast for the fourth consecutive year!

Noah shared the news in a new episode of his podcast, What Now? With Trevor Noah.

Taking center stage during the 2024 ceremony, the stand-up comedian is also a producer of the show.

“I think it’s also important to acknowledge something, I’m hosting the Grammys,” Noah shared with listeners. “I’m excited about that, yeah, it’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it is happening.”

Video shows footage from 2011 Japan tsunami

A post with hundreds of thousands of views on social media, including on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, incorrectly claims that a video is of a wave hitting Thailand in 2004, after the Indian Ocean tsunami. The video is actually from 2011 and shows a tsunami striking north-east Japan

The video is nearly a minute long, and at first shows a road with a number of cars turning around and driving out of frame. A wave gradually comes into shot, carrying with it a host of debris including cars and houses. 

The post on X says: “This security footage shows the moment the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami hit Khao Lak in Thailand. The disaster went on to claim the lives of an estimated 227,898 people in 14 countries.”

When we get these requirements, we ask for 6 months upfront for that kind of usage.

Even so, that price isn’t doable. If a provider goes fully consumer grade, it is still not doable unless, of course, everyone here pretty much knows what.
