Amazon is not giving away parcels of ‘sorted electronics’ for £3

A Facebook post falsely claims that Amazon is giving away parcels of unclaimed electronic appliances “for just £3”. But an Amazon spokesperson confirmed this is not a genuine offer from the retailer.

The post appeared on a page that was created on the same day the post was shared and has only 10 followers.

It says: “Amazon is having an urgent sale on various appliances for just £3! The reason is that items that have been in stock for more than 6 months should be disposed of but the company’s management has decided to give the sorted electronics to the people of the UK. The parcel may contain an iPhon Playstation and many other popular items. Follow the link in the comments or below the post and apply! [sic]”
