Are you ready for it? An international academic symposium – aptly titled ‘Swiftposium’ – will transform the University of Melbourne into an arena of friendship bracelet-wearing experts keen to engage in discussions about Swift’s popularity and her influence on gender, fandom, the economy, the music industry and much more.
The first-ever event of its kind has been organised by scholars from seven universities across Australia and New Zealand and will coincide with the Melbourne leg of Swift’s sold-out Eras Tour, which begins on February 16 at the MCG.
Academics from across Asia-Pacific (particularly postgraduate researchers and early career researchers) are invited to submit proposals for the conference, with traditional and non-traditional approaches encouraged. Suggested…
