During a recent earnings call, the company’s CFO, Gunnar Wiedenfels, shared that the game didn’t meet their high hopes. This was a big deal since it was one of their main releases for 2024. The game’s performance has set a challenging stage for Warner Bros’ gaming sector, especially when compared to last year’s success with Hogwarts Legacy.

The game’s struggle isn’t a shock to many. Early previews and delays had already dampened excitement. Plus, the choice to include microtransactions and make it an online-only game didn’t sit well with fans.
