ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Renovations at a local mission center are complete. On Saturday, it was dedicated to three local individuals who passed away.

The Alexa House Mission Center is a safe space for people in the Family Promise program.

It honors the lifes of Alexa Cannon, Daniel Yardley and Rita Magnus. The three lost their lives under tragic circumstances, but now the memories house hope for those facing homelessness.

“It made sense to me that this would be something that might aid in honoring [Alexa’s] memory,” said Cathy Cannon, Alexa Cannon’s mother.

The house is named in honor of Alexa. The house is covered in blue, her favorite color, and decorated with her favorite quotes and pictures she took .

On Oct 13, the Uncool with Alexa Bliss host shared a series of photos from her eclectic maternity shoot on her Instagram. She shared the photos with the caption reading, “Some of my favorites from my maternity shoot with @gilmarsmith !! Glam by @dorkajjones – @ryancabrera.”

These maternity photos are the perfect mixture of punk-inspired, soft, and technicolor: all of which makes Bliss’ maternity shoot one for the books!

Videos circulating online appear to show Amazon’s virtual assistant device, known as Alexa, predicting the start of World War III. But this is not genuine. 

The videos all use the same audio over footage showing different Alexa devices. Alexa is a voice-controlled virtual assistant that can help with tasks such as playing audio, controlling smart home devices and answering questions, among other things.

The videos show someone behind the camera asking the device when WWIII will start. The device responds: “World War III starts on November 23rd, 2023, at 6.05pm, when Russia launches an attack against Germany.”

But these videos are not genuine. Neither the makers of Alexa or Full Fact have been able to replicate this response.
