Here’s What Google Announced for Android at the Made by Google Pixel 9 Event Today

Google is taking steps to better integrate Gemini, its generative AI model, into Android. 

At today’s Made by Google event, where Google unveiled the Pixel 9 series, the tech giant also took some time to announce how Android is reimagining what your phone can do with Gemini. That includes new ways to interact with Gemini on Android, like using the AI assistant to ask questions about anything that’s on your phone screen. 

Google also talked about Gemini Nano, its large, on-device multimodal AI model made specifically for the Pixel, and how any personal data processed in the cloud or on-device is kept safe and private.

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings 'at risk of being replaced' as spin-off host announced


The coveted Jeopardy! host might be changing once again.

Ken Jennings is reportedly at risk of losing his job to Colin Jost after the comedian was tapped to host Pop Culture Jeopardy!. The star, known best for his gig on Saturday Night Live, will be calling the shots on the Jeopardy! stage for the latest Amazon Prime project. However, this means that a new, big name is suddenly entering the Jeopardy! universe.

After a stunning 74-match run, Ken became an easy pick to host the OG game show. Originally, he shared hosting duties with Mayim Bialik. However, she was shafted from the show following some controversial remarks and a desire from Sony to head in a different direction.

New LGBTQIA+ Shared Reading taster sessions announced at Liverpool’s Everyman

An exciting new collaboration between The Reader and Liverpool’s Everyman is confirmed for June 2024.

The Reader is excited to be launching new LGBTQIA+ inclusive Shared Reading taster sessions at Liverpool Everyman.

Two drop-in sessions will accompany a debut play set in the Aids epidemic, Tell Me How It Ends, by Tasha Dowd, a graduate of the award-winning Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) programme. These pre-show sessions on 19 and 20 June are open to everyone and FREE to attend.

At Shared Reading groups people talk, connect and share experiences using stories, plays and poetry. There is no pressure to talk or read aloud – it’s fine to just sit back, relax and listen.
