Couple attacked by their Bahamas AirBnB host in violent outburst: ‘He just snapped’

A couple has shared the horrifying story of how they were attacked by their Airbnb host with a double edged knife.

Laura Valm and her boyfriend Ryan had been staying at the rental property near Coral Harbour in Nassau, Bahamas last week. 

The property, which averages around $168 a night, is described as being ‘private and peaceful’ but it was nothing like that for the couple, after the host attacked them.

Sharing two TikTok‘s, Valm described how they had booked the property after reading rave reviews but found their host, who they name as Jan, to be strange. 

According to Valm, their host attempted to kill her and her boyfriend and injured a man who works for him with a large double edged blade.

The US Air Force has denied that an AI-powered drone ‘attacked’ operators in a simulation

Claims that a US Air Force-trained artificial intelligence (AI) powered drone “attacked” its human operators and communication towers when it was supposed to target enemy weapons have been shared widely on social media. 

One tweet, shared hundreds of times, says: “The Air Force trained an AI drone to destroy SAM [surface-to-air-missile] sites.

“Human operators sometimes told the drone to stop.

“The AI then started attacking the human operators.

“So then it was trained to not attack humans.

“It started attacking comm towers so humans couldn’t tell it to stop.”

GoDaddy says servers were attacked by hackers that stole code and installed malware

GoDaddy website servers are some of the latest to fall victim to fall victim to hackers seeking to install malware and cause intermittent redirections on customer website.

The website hosting company shared the news in its 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week, explaining a “sophisticated threat actor” conducted the hacking campaign for two years.

GoDaddy officials said in the filing, “In March 2020, we discovered a threat actor compromised the hosting login credentials of approximately 28,000 hosting customers to their hosting accounts, as well as the login credentials of a small number of our personnel.”
