Drew Barrymore has been dropped as the host of the 74th National Book Awards.

The National Book Foundation explained it had revoked the 48-year-old’s offer to host over her decision to bring back her self-titled talk show amid the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.

The ceremony is set to take place in New York on November 15, but the National Book Foundation confirmed in a statement shared on X, formerly known on Twitter, that Drew would no longer be hosting.

The first annual Caribbean Music Awards has been confirmed for August 31st at the renowned Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.
