Mayim Bialik is looking toward brighter days ahead after a bumpy end to 2023.

Weeks after announcing her departure as a host of “Jeopardy!”, the actress took to Instagram to make a wish for the new year, writing, “As the rain washes away 2023, I can’t help but hope it’s making way for a brighter 2024. Wishing you a year filled with joy and new beginnings!”

Along with the message, she shared a photo of herself smiling in the rain.

Ken Jennings is breaking his silence about the departure of his former “Jeopardy!” co-host, Mayim Bialik.

Bialik, who took over shared hosting duties for the beloved game show with Jennings after longtime host Alex Trebek died in 2020, announced earlier this month that she was leaving the show. Now, Jennings is sharing that the news took him by surprise.

“It took me off guard, because I loved working with my Mayim, and I’m gonna miss her,” he said in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I can’t speak to her decision-making process or her opinions about it.”

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings shares that he was caught “off guard” by the news that Sony and co-host Mayim Bialik had parted ways.

It seemed like an inevitability, but the heat was eventually going to come to the now-solo host of Jeopardy! Ken Jennings upon the announcements of Sony and co-host Mayim Bialik of her departure on December 15th. While there’s speculation on whether this has anything to do with Bialik’s temporary leave of the show in support of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes earlier this year is up in the air, but the decision now makes Jennings the permanent host of the syndicated game show with Sony leaving the door open for Bialik to host…

Last week, Mayim Bialik dropped the news that she will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy! where she shared hosting duties with Ken Jennings. While Jennings predominantly hosted the episodes, Bialik filled in as needed. That is no longer the case.

According to Bialik, the decision was made by Sony Pictures Television, who informed her of the decision heading into the holiday break. “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family,” Bialik wrote on Instagram.
