NetApp
NetApp

NetApp has become the preferred data infrastructure provider of Italian datacenter services provider Aruba.it, which offers web hosting, domain registration, and secure email account services across its European footprint.

The two companies will now offer new data management and storage solutions labeled “Powered by NetApp.”

Aruba is one of Italy’s providers of cloud, datacenter, hosting, domain registration, and PEC (certified email) services. Aruba was already a user of NetApp products behind the scenes, but is now expanding the relationship into a formal partnership as part of its wider go-to-market strategy.

US colo LightEdge offers single tenant Nutanix cloud – Blocks and Files

US Nutanix users can get a single-tenant cloud just for their workloads from LightEdge, eliminating noisy neighbor resource-limiting problems.

LightEdge is a US-based cloud service and colocation datacenter provider with 12 Tier III datacenter sites and upwards of 1,300 customers. In April, it acquired St. Louis-based Connectria, which provides multi-cloud infrastructure (IBM, AWS, and Azure ) and managed hosting services, gaining six more datacenters and more than 400 additional customers. This was LightEdge’s fourth acquisition since it was itself bought by private equity and real estate fund management business GI Partners in 2021.

LightEdge now has 18 datacenters across 11 US regional markets.

IPv4 blocks for rent or rent to own

I’m exploring the idea of renting IPv4 and possibly renting to own (If such a thing exists). Has anyone here done either? I would love to learn what to watch out for.

Some questions I had are:

1) If i rent ipv4 how often do the prices go up? Is it yearly or?

2) Are there places I can lease to own? This way I can start with what I need and if my business grows as expected I would like to buy them later at a premium.

3) What websites/services do you recommend for this?

4) Beyond less mental overhead is there a limit (ex. number of blocks per ASN) if i were to buy/rent a bunch of small /24s? I assume my dedicated/colo provider may charge me for each setup/configuration.

4) Do i need to own an ASN myself or can I go to an IPv4 broker and have them assign the IPv4 block to the ASN…
