Cork trio host a day dedicated to celebrating self-love and confidence

Women need to be kinder to themselves and to silence their inner critic, according to the organisers of an event designed to show us exactly how – and to have some fun while doing so.

‘Confidence Unfiltered’ is described as an “empowering day dedicated to celebrating self-love and confidence” that will take place in the Maryborough House Hotel on Sunday, October 13.

Presented by entrepreneur Sian Horn, stylist Nessa Cronin, and ‘boob guru’ Bridget Kearney, the trio say the event is designed to help us “embrace our true selves, indulge in life’s simple pleasures, learn a little, and have fun”.

Detroit Lions to host second “Women in Football” game dedicated to celebrating women in the sport

DETROIT – The Detroit Lions announced today their Week 2 regular season game at Ford Field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Kickoff 1 PM) will be themed Women In Football presented by GEICO. This game marks the second installment of the initiative originally created by the Lions, following its NFL debut during the 2023 season to celebrate the countless ways in which women impact the game of football.

South Carolina ETV (SCETV) will select a viewer to host a fun-filled “red, white and blue” Fourth of July watch party in recognition of the upcoming PBS program, A Capitol Fourth.

The selected party will receive a July 4th-themed watch party kit to host a celebration and a $500 gift card for party supplies, provided by Capital Concerts and Boeing, the exclusive national sponsor of A Capitol Fourth.

Puna group dedicated to ‘āina stewardship to host festival celebrating Hawaiian culture, community and wellness : Big Island Now

A Puna nonprofit dedicated to helping men stay clean and sober through community service and mālama ‘āina (caring for the land) will hold its first Makahiki Cultural Festival in January, an event celebrating Hawaiian culture, community resilience and holistic wellness.

The event, hosted by the Men of Pa‘a (firm, solid, immovable), will take place during the Makahiki season, an ancient Hawaiian New Year festival that honors Lono, the Hawaiian god of fertility.

Detroit Lions to host NFL’s first “Women in Football” game dedicated to celebrating women in the sport

DETROIT – The Detroit Lions announced today their Week 3 regular season game at Ford Field against the Atlanta Falcons (Kickoff 1 PM) will be themed “Women in Football” to celebrate the countless ways in which women impact the game of football.
