Viral video claiming disgraceful hosting by India

A Pakistani journalist with username @KazmiWajahat on X shared the clipped viral video with the caption, “India proved itself to be the most disgraceful host!” Several Pakistani users and other users on X, have also shared the clipped video with similar captions claiming that India proved to be the most disgraceful host at ICC World Cup 2023.

Clip claiming to show new ‘iron beam’ system in Israel is taken from a video game

A video which has been viewed 5.8 million times on X (formerly Twitter) claiming to show a “New Iron Beam” defence system in Israel is actually taken from a video game.

The clip, which has also circulated on Facebook, shows explosions taking place in the air at night, which some on social media have claimed shows a new defence system, called the “iron beam”, in operation in Israel.

The “iron beam” is a laser weapon developed in Israel. It has not yet been used in the country.

However, the video in question is actually footage from the Arma 3 military simulation video game.

The clip is part of a longer video with footage from the game shared on YouTube on 11 October, intended to replicate Israel’s Iron Dome air defence system. The video description states…

Parler Sues Amazon Web Services, Claiming It Collaborated With Twitter to Stifle Business

One day after getting booted from Amazon’s computing service, Parler has filed suit against the tech giant, claiming it violated the Sherman Antitrust Act in collaborating with Twitter to “kill Parler’s business—at the very time it is set to skyrocket.” Parler went offline overnight Monday, as Amazon Web Services cut off its access to the computing software following a violent insurrection in the U.S. Capitol. Several Parler users had posted messages either encouraging the angry mob, or planning subsequent violence. The lawsuit claims that Twitter colluded with AWS to stifle Parler’s business, and that AWS “silences the millions of Parler users who do not feel their free speech is protected by Twitter or other social media apps.” Parler is seeking to be restored to AWS….
