Prices of Colocations – not clear!? – Web Hosting Talk


Hi guys,

I’ve been looking for decent colocation offers over the last few weeks where I can send or bring my own server equipment without having to pay hundreds of Euros a month for a 100 Mbit port, 5-10TB traffic, or if I’m lucky, 200 Mbit bandwidth with unlimited traffic.

When I look at these public offers, I don’t understand how some providers can offer dedicated servers with decent hardware and 10 Gbps unmetered bandwidth for under 999 Euros a month.

I get that buying this kind of server is costly, but are these companies operating at a loss? It just doesn’t add up.

To be honest, I’m in the process of starting my own VPN business. The apps and back-office dashboards are currently under development, and now I’m looking to future-proof my infrastructure. I understand that building a VPN…
