Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Is a Nostalgic Optic Blast From the Past

Few fighting game series are as revered as Marvel vs. Capcom, a line that has entertained casual and die-hard players for decades. However, playing the games on contemporary PCs and consoles has been an impossibility—until now.

The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, set for digital release on September 12 and physical release on November 22, lets you play the collection’s eight titles without resorting to emulation or pulling out old hardware. Judging by a lengthy media demo we were invited to play this week, it’s shaping up to be a must-purchase title for genre fans.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection Patch 1 Now Live On Consoles

Two weeks after the turbulent launch of the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, Aspyr Media has launched Patch 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Patch 1 already went live on PC via Steam last week on March 19 while having to wait for launch on consoles due to their separate certification process. Aspyr’s official support post has now been updated with the following message.

Update I is available now for STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

The multiplayer experience on dedicated servers has had ample changes behind the scenes, and players should expect a much better experience across all consoles.

Battlefront Classic Collection players tear into Aspyr for bugs, crashes, and 3 64-player launch servers for nearly 10,000 users

Aspyr sure is running hot and cold at the moment. Right after last month’s well-regarded remasters of the first three Tomb Raider games, the company has put out the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, an uprezzed repackage of the original, beloved Battlefront games. It came out today and, well, oh dear.

With over a thousand Steam user reviews already in, the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has spiralled down to a “Mostly Negative” overall rating, as fans complain of bugs, crashes, server issues, and a borderline-unplayable multiplayer mode.
