Vernon’s Okanagan College hosting open house and childcare fundraiser

OC will be hosting a fundraiser for their new childcare centre, scheduled to open in 2024

Vernon’s Okanagan College (OC) will be hosting an Open House for prospective students, along with a fundraiser for their new childcare centre.

The Open House will take place between 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kal View Cafe on Thursday, Oct. 19.

Additionally, spotlight sessions will be held around the campus. They include: Arts (room D221), Business (room D223), Health (room D233), Science (room D310 and D327), Writing and Publishing (D100) and Early Childhood Education (room E102).

You can also enter to win a $500 tuition voucher at the event.

Route shared for College Station’s new Christmas parade

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The show must go on!

The City of College Station is hosting a new Christmas parade this year that is scheduled to begin Saturday, December 2nd at 3:30 p.m.

The city confirms to News 3′s Rusty Surette that it will start at Post Oak Mall and continue on a route that ends at Central Park where the city’s annual Christmas in the Park celebration is planned.

The route will take the parade from the mall’s parking lot to Holleman Drive then proceed to Dartmouth Street.

The parade will pass by Wolf Penn Creek Park, proceed south on Dartmouth, cross Southwest Parkway, and continue to Krenek Tap Road.

The parade will then turn east on Krenak Tap Road and end at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park.

Bridgwater & Taunton College hosts Moving Up evenings

Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) is hosting ‘Moving Up’ evenings that bring together employers, organisations and students to discuss potential pathways for their collective futures.

The event was created to promote and share opportunities for young people with cpecial educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties.
