Northeast Colorado Women’s Connection hosting lunch and program Aug. 20 – Sterling Journal-Advocate

Northeast Colorado Women’s Connection will host a buffet lunch and program, “The Anatomy of Summer,” Tuesday, Aug. 20, from noon to 2 p.m. at Sterling Berean Church, 12527 County Road 37.

“Anatomy of a Grand Design,” anatomy and physiology instruction Brandee Gillham will creatively explain how the human body points to a grand Designer. Plus, “Anatomy of a Nutritional Arsenal,” Certified Wellness Coach Melanie Soper will share the basics of how to build a natural immune-boosting emergency kit for your family.

Former President Donald Trump coming to Colorado this weekend, per multiple reports

ASPEN, Colo. (KKTV) – Former President Donald Trump is expected to visit Colorado this weekend for a fundraising event.

The Aspen Times shared the news on Aug. 1, and KDVR in Denver is citing a fundraising page online.

According to the fundraising page, the event was sold out and a basic attendee would have to donate $25,000 per couple. A “Host Committee” can attend by donating $500,000.

The Trump 47 Committee is behind the event. An exact location was not shared with the public, but Former President Trump is expected to attend on Saturday.

11 News has reached out to the Trump 47 Committee to see if they are able to share additional details on the event.

Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad TikTok? – Pagosa Daily Post News Events & Video for Pagosa Springs Colorado

The US House of Representatives on Wednesday approved legislation that would require TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell it within 180 days… or risk having the app barred from app stores and web hosting services in the United States.

The vote was 352 in favor; 65 opposed.  Pretty impressive disapproval of a social media company’s ownership model.  The supporters of the bill didn’t like the fact that ByteDance might be providing user data to the Chinese government, letting the Communists know which dancing cat video is most popular among Americans.

Our economic system is threatened.  And also, maybe our own home-grown social media empires.
