UK’s largest web hosting company is pursuing a multi-billion dollar flotation

The UK’s largest web hosting company The Hut Group (THG) is planning to disclose its plan for a new incentive scheme as well as a £4.5bn stock market flotation.

As first reported by Sky News, the long-standing share plan could result in THG’s co-founder and executive chairman Matthew Moulding earning more than £700m worth of shares if the company is able to achieve a market capitalization of £7.25bn by December of 2022.

Wix edges past GoDaddy to become world’s biggest web hosting company

The pandemic has led to increased demand for web hosting and website builders as more people look to start their own small businesses online during this time of economic upheaval.

This has led GoDaddy’s share price to rise by 20.2 percent over the past month and its stock is currently trading at $83.50 at the time of writing.

A hosting company from a closet? Raspberry Pi web hosting is now a reality

The Raspberry Pi single-board computer was designed primarily for teaching and tinkering some eight years ago, but since 2012 the single board computer (SBC) has been applied to a wide variety of applications outside of the education world. 

Mythic Beasts, the company that provides web hosting services to the Raspberry Pi Foundation, recently started to offer hosting powered by a Raspberry Pi 4.
