Ganja to host concert dedicated to eminent composer

Ganja State Philharmonic Hall will host a concert dedicated to
eminent composer, conductor, and teacher, People’s Artist Said
Rustamov (1907-1983), who has left a deep mark in the history of
Azerbaijani music, Azernews reports. The concert
program will be presented on September 29.

The evening will feature performances by People’s Artist Sevinj
Ibrahimova, Honored Cultural Worker Mehpara Jafarova, Honored
Artists Kamala Tagizade, Tural Abdullayev, soloists Vasif Bayramov,
Rustam Jafarov.

They will delight the audience with music pieces “Oxu tar”,
“Bahar olsun”, “Alagöz”, “Qurban adına”, “Hardasan”, “İntizar”,

Museum of Modern Art hosts largest-ever retrospective honoring late film composer Ennio Morricone

New York, N.Y. — If you’re heading to New York City during the holiday season, you won’t want to miss a unique month-long event at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

MoMA will be hosting a retrospective dedicated to the Italian film composer Ennio Morricone, who passed away in 2020. The Oscar-winning composer collaborated with directors from all over the world, including Quentin Tarantino, John Carpenter, Brian DePalma, and Bernardo Bertolucci.

The films in the lineup span his nearly 60-year career and will feature more than 35 works with seven new digital restorations and 35mm archival prints.

“This Ennio Morricone retrospective is the largest MoMA has ever devoted to a movie composer,” said Curator Joshua Siegel, Department of Film at MoMA. “
