Baku hosts conference dedicated to 15th anniversary of TURKPA

The conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National
Leader Heydar Aliyev and the 15th anniversary of the Parliamentary
Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) has kicked off in Baku,
Azernews reports.

The event was attended by Azerbaijani MPs, representatives from
Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and Northern Cyprus, as well as the Black Sea
Economic Cooperation Organisation (BSEC), the Joint Administration
of the Turkic Culture and Arts (TURKSOY), and the Organisation of
Turkic States (OTS).

Melbourne is set to host an academic conference dedicated to Taylor Swift

Are you ready for it? An international academic symposium – aptly titled ‘Swiftposium’ – will transform the University of Melbourne into an arena of friendship bracelet-wearing experts keen to engage in discussions about Swift’s popularity and her influence on gender, fandom, the economy, the music industry and much more.

The first-ever event of its kind has been organised by scholars from seven universities across Australia and New Zealand and will coincide with the Melbourne leg of Swift’s sold-out Eras Tour, which begins on February 16 at the MCG.

Cork is hosting a ‘pioneering’ sex and well-being conference for LBTQ + women

Q Con: a pioneering, unique event dedicated to the sexual health and well-being of LBTQ + women, will take place in Cork this September, with a host of experts landing on Leeside to take part.

The first conference of its kind in Ireland, the organisers hope to lead the way toward an authentic exploration of sexual health and well-being, health inequities, and to contribute to positive queer visibility with a weekend full of discussions and workshops running across Saturday and Sunday, September 16th and 17th at MTU Cork School of Music on Union Quay.

DA hosting Crimes Against Children Conference

Barbara Romo, the 13th Judicial District attorney, is hosting the inaugural Southwest Crimes Against Children Conference Aug. 23-24 at Santa Ana Star Casino and Hotel.

The conference will bring together representatives from law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, child and victim advocates, social workers and members of the court in a collaborative conference setting to share best practices and knowledge, receive training in new aspects of the law, investigative techniques and protocols and prosecutorial approaches to improve prosecution and judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect in New Mexico.
