On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the Morgan County Partnership for Children & Families will be hosting a day dedicated to highlighting the importance of quality childcare. Morgan County’s 20 licensed childcare home providers and nine licensed childcare centers will participate in this county-wide campaign.

When parents or guardians drop their child or children off at childcare Tuesday morning, they will receive a sticker that says, “I’m at work today because my child is in quality childcare.”

Childcare providers will be wearing the color brown and will also read the beloved classic book, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by author Bill Martin, Jr. and illustrator Eric Carle. BAY CITY, MI – This Saturday would normally be a typical late summer weekend in Michigan, where you would typically kick back and relax while enjoying the cooler breezes and what little time summer has left to offer. However, this weekend’s September breezes will carry with it more than just the impending changing of seasons – the memories of those who were lost 20 years ago during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks will also be carried on the wind and by the members of the Bay County community.

Various organizations and groups across Bay County will be hosting special events and ceremonies this weekend to remember and mark the 20th anniversary of the of the 9/11 attacks.
