It all starts with the Apple Watch. You can directly share a watch face with someone else through Messages or Mail. The idea is to give other people access to a personalized face that you tweaked yourself.

Next, let’s say the recipient uses Messages in iOS 18 to reply to any text in a conversation thread that contains the shared watch face. With iOS 14 and higher, you can respond inline to any previous message in a thread simply by pressing down on it and tapping Reply.

Nastia Liukin, Bigfoot Crash Web Servers

Web servers at several large shared hosting companies are getting a workout this week as huge waves of news-driven search traffic crash customer sites.

Admins at DreamHost awoke this morning to find a shared server besieged by traffic, and quickly narrowed it down to NastiaLiukin.com, the official web site for the U.S. gymnast who won a gold medal in the women’s all-around finals last night at the Beijing Olympics. Josh Jones at DreamHost describes the effort to get Nastia’s site back online:

So, we switched her (static html) site from Apache to lighttpd and immediately the load dropped from 200 to .2 … but then the network port started to saturate! To…

They also show other people wearing the same distinctive uniform, and what appears to be part of a plane marked with the number 1136 and the Iranian flag.

But these pictures aren’t from Sunday’s crash in north-west…
