Jennings earns $4 million per year as host of the popular game show.

Jennings — who won over $2.5 million in a historic 74-game winning streak on Jeopardy! – is apparently willing to sacrifice his own salary to ensure he remains the top dog at the game show.

Johnson to TikTok: Cut Ties with the CCP or Lose Access to American Markets

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) co-sponsored bipartisan legislation to take further steps to prohibit the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) access to Americans’ private data through apps like TikTok. The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act would remove CCP-backed ByteDance apps, including TikTok, from American app stores and web hosting services unless the application severs ties to entities like ByteDance that are subject to control of a foreign adversary.

Straka makes the Cromwell Cut, Schwab out

Golfer Sepp Straka starts the weekend at the PGA tournament in Cromwell on a shared 56th place. After his round of 67 on Friday (local time), the Olympian is four under par, eleven strokes behind the leading duo of Denny McCarthy and Keegan Bradley. The two Americans set a new record on the TPC River Highlands course in the state of Connecticut with their scores of 125 each after 36 holes.

Large-scale website operators are being urged to throw their weight behind a sustainability initiative geared towards curbing the carbon emissions generated by the internet.

The Eco-Friendly Web Alliance (EFWA) has set its sights on preventing a further 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide being added to the atmosphere in the next decade by supporting website operators with cutting the emissions their sites produce.

As part of this effort, the EFWA has created what it claims to be the world’s first eco-standard, which will be awarded to websites that emit less than one gram of carbon dioxide per page view.

To retain the accreditation, website owners and operators will be expected to participate in quarterly audits to assess how much carbon their sites use, and will be further…
