A Facebook account using the name “Wetherspoons” has shared a post claiming that the pub chain is offering free meals to people who share and comment.

The post has been shared more than 24,000 times at the time of writing, but it is not real. It copies similar posts from other Facebook accounts appearing to impersonate the brand which we’ve fact checked previously. 

The post says: “Hello everyone! I’m Tim Martin, founder of Wetherspoons. I’m very pleased to introduce you to my son Ryan Martin. Australia’s government wants help from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build a super top-secret cloud for its law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

The country’s leaders say the new AWS platform will be “purpose-built for Australia’s Defence and National Intelligence Community agencies to securely host our country’s most sensitive information.”

Mock trade has the Toronto Maple Leafs re-acquiring Nazem Kadri.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to be active in the offseason, especially on the trade front, and Sportsnet radio host Sam McKee shared a mock deal with the Calgary Flames that would bring back Nazem Kadri.

The Maple Leafs have been the subject of trade rumors since they were eliminated as Mitch Marner and John Tavares have both been mentioned as possible players that could be traded.

On June 20 while co-hosting Real Kyper & Bourne on Sportsnet, McKee shared a mock trade between the Maple Leafs and Flames.

Corero Network Security announced a new three-year partnership with US-based A2 Hosting, a provider of high-performance hosting solutions, on Friday.

The AIM-traded firm said the agreement signified a transition to a longer-term contract.

Under the deal, A2 Hosting’s customers would continue to have access to Corero’s advanced DDoS protection solutions.

That, the company said, would ensure the security and availability of A2 Hosting’s various high-performance web hosting services, including shared hosting, VPS hosting, dedicated hosting, and reseller hosting.

In addition to the contract renewal, Corero said it had been awarded ChannelVision’s 2024 Visionary Spotlight Award (VSA) for Cybersecurity Business Technology, for its Corero ‘SmartWall ONE’ DDoS protection solution.
