Driving Mobility’s Harlow Centre to host Open Day dedicated to driving with a disability

The national charity Driving Mobility is inviting all members of the public and professionals, with an interest in driving with a disability, to its Herts Ability Driving Assessment Centre in Harlow for a free Open Day on the 11th July 2024.

Thursday 11th July, Herts Ability (an accredited Driving Mobility Centre), The Road Safety Centre, Edinburgh Way, Harlow, CM20 2BX. 10am-3pm. Free admission and accessible parking.

Queen’s Park host launch of ‘What ‘am sayin’ to you’ dedicated to Malky Mackay Sr

The ‘What ‘am sayin’ to you is’ book, co-authored by brothers Davy and Alan Stewart, charts over 60 years in the life of Malky Mackay MBE, one of the great characters in football, who served Queen’s Park and the game’s Governing Bodies in many roles, and it includes a foreword from another famous Queensparker, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Former SFA Performance Director and recently appointed Hibernian Sporting Director, Malky Mackay Jnr, as well as Scotland Euro 92 player Jim McInally who Malky Snr always had a soft spot for as he is ‘A good Castlemilk boy’ helped with the event by speaking to the media afterwards.

Bishkek to host musical and poetic event dedicated to 75th anniversary of poet Asan Zhakshylykov

AKIPRESS.COM – On June 13, The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev will host a musical and poetic event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of poet Asan Zhakshylykov.

The poet and playwright began collaborating with the theater in 2006, when he created a cycle of romances to the music of composer Satylgan Osmonov for Kyrgyz tenor Stalbek Almasbekov, theater representative Elena Myagkova noted.

Zhakshylykov wrote many romances to the music of Kaly Moldobasanov, Mukash Abdraev, Turgunbai Moldogaziev, Turdubek Chokiev, Timur Salamatov, Zhumakadyr Kanimetov, Bulat Maldybaev and others.
