Jenkintown 150 to host Gazebo Dedication Ceremony on Saturday

Jenkintown 150 is hosting a Gazebo Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00am to 1:30pm in Town Square.

The ceremony will feature the work of Joseph Depman, a senior at Jenkintown High School who recently completed his Eagle Scout project, remarks by town officials, a ribbon cutting, live music by Jenkintown’s Celia DeFazio, and a performance by Jenkintown Dance Arts.

“I am lucky to have grown up in a place like Jenkintown, and I am glad to be able to give back to the community,” Depman said.

Two organizations host bench dedication ceremony to encourage healing

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Two organizations came together in an effort to create safer places for victims of child abuse and sexual assault in the Queen City.

Key Field Air National Guard – Wing Care Team and the Wesley House held a bench dedication ceremony on Monday at Jeannie’s Place at Planet Playground.

The two groups explain the significance of the bench and the message they are trying to convey to survivors.

“We have teamed up again so we can strengthen and renew our prevention and advocacy efforts by designating the bench. Barky Pines, Indian Trail Host Tree Dedication At Downers Dog Park

On Saturday, Nov. 18, Barky Pines Animal Rescue & Sanctuary and the Indian Trail Improvement District held a ceremony celebrating the eighth anniversary of Downers Dog Park in The Acreage. The ceremony included a tree planting in memory of former ITID Supervisor Michelle Damone, who passed away from cancer earlier this year. Damone played an important role in opening the dog park. Sneads Ferry Garden Club hosting military dedication today

SNEADS FERRY, N.C. (WITN) – A ceremony dedicated to honoring the service of military members in our state is taking place today.

The Sneads Ferry Garden Club will be dedicating blue and gold star memorial markers on the Sneads Ferry Library’s property.

Blue star markers honor all those who have served our country, and a gold star markers honor military members who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice of giving their lives while serving.

Several featured speakers, including Major General Matthew Trollinger, Commanding General of the Marine Forces Special Operations Command will attend the dedication.

The event is slated to start at the Snead’s Ferry Library at 10:30 a.m.
