Longtime HGTV host Carol Duvall died on July 31, according to the Detroit Free Press. She was 97 years old.

Duvall was best known for doing arts and crafts on “The Carol Duvall Show,” which ran on HGTV from 1994 until 2005, per the Internet Movie Database.

While Duvall became known nationally in the ’90s, she had been on TV for more than 50 years, the Record-Eagle reported in 2017. Her first gig was hosting TV in Detroit during the ’50s, the outlet said.

Liquid Web founder Matthew Hill dies at age 41

EAST LANSING – Matthew Hill, the founder of Liquid Web, a web hosting company he started in Greater Lansing, died earlier this month.

He died “unexpectedly” on July 13 in West Hollywood, California, according to his obituary. He was 41 and a resident of East Lansing, it read.

Hill was a Lansing native and graduate of Holt High School. He was still in high school when he founded Liquid Web in 1997, according to a July 20 post on the company’s Facebook page acknowledging his death.

Hill sold the company to Chicago-based investment firm Madison Dearborn Partners in 2015, then stepped down as the company’s CEO.
