Any of us who have an early start for work know the struggle of making sure you wake up on time and don’t sleep through an alarm.

But the Glasgow-born telly host had the opposite issue on Wednesday morning as she accidentally woke up two hours early.

The 64-year-old mistakenly read her clock as 5am, the time she usually gets up to get ready for her stint on Lorraine.

By the time she had already had a shower, Lorraine realised it was actually 3am. 

Sharing a rather frustrated-looking selfie, she told her Instagram followers: “When you wake up and have a shower and a cuppa – BUT it’s 3am instead of 5am! Read the clock wrong!”

Most people believe the work should be left to professionals or people who know their job the best. Their judgment shouldn’t be second-guessed on most accounts.
