Queen Creek hosting blood drive March 14

These monthly blood drives started as an emergency pandemic response. It is only with the help of generous blood donors that Vitalant can continue to be the sole blood provider for every hospital in Maricopa County.

Healthy blood donors are needed to keep a strong supply and this month’s Town of Queen Creek Community Blood Drive in partnership with Vitalant will be on Thursday, March 14.

Donation appointments are available from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. that day in the Zane Grey Community Room at the Queen Creek Library, located at 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.

These monthly blood drives started as an emergency pandemic response. It is only with the help of generous blood donors that Vitalant can continue to be the sole blood provider for every hospital in Maricopa County.

Sandusky City Commission hosting ‘Fill the Bin’ donation drive Dec. 9 for Care and Share

The city of Sandusky City Commission will host its annual “Fill the Bin” donation drive at Care & Share of Erie County from 10 a.m. to noon, Dec. 9, at 241 Jackson St. in Sandusky, according to a news release.

“Care & Share has been serving the needs of hundreds of our residents every month for years now,” said City Commission President Dick Brady in the release. “We tend to focus on gifting around the holidays, when in reality the need never takes a holiday.

“The most effective gift is money as Care & Share has the ability to stretch every dollar to benefit those in need.”

The Commissioners invite members of the public to participate by bringing donations of cash, food, clothes, and toys to Care & Share’s location in downtown Sandusky. Hot chocolate and coffee will be…
