Elections kick-off sees wave of DDoS attacks hitting European governments

Members of the European Union are currently taking part in elections to the European Parliament, presenting a prime opportunity for hacktivists to perform Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against political parties across the spectrum.

At time of writing, 8 of the 27 EU members have completed counting their votes, with the preliminary results and exit polls showing gains for right-wing parties.

EU Hosting Fourth Edition Of European Gender Equality Week

The EU Parliament (EP) will host the European Gender Equality which will consist of a number of interesting debates discussing what’s next in this field.

“Gender equality and equity are a shared responsibility that we must embrace in every facet of our work. I am extremely proud to see that every year this important initiative gains more and more interest, not only within the European Parliament, but also among other EU institutions, agencies, and national parliaments.”

This is the fourth time the Parliament has organised such a week and the theme of this year’s edition is “Gender Equality: What’s Next?”
